Question: Costa rica vacation?

Whats there to do. Are the beachs rocky? is there good snorkeling? Volcanos That kind of stuff Is it a good place to go to with to older teens? And are there alot of monkeys??

Nicoyan Peninsula is beautiful, beaches so-so. Arenal Volcano is worth the trip. Go up into the mountains - treacherous roads but great views. Alot of Cotamundi there. Stay away from San Jose - dirty, stinky, corrupt. Have fun !

Theres SOO much to do in cr dude. there are tons of beaches and they are all different, some white sand, some dark, some rocky, some smooth, some with huge waves, some wiht none. you can find many places to snorkel too. Arenal Volcanoe is the best volcano. If you go there, i reccommend going to La Fortuna waterfall, it is awesome. Costa RIca is like disney world- theres something for everyone of every age :) seriously. sure you can see some monkeys. Just plan it, make sure you plan your itenerary before you go and u will enjoy it so much more. pura vida!

Tons to do in Costa Rica: Zip Line, Kayak, Hiking, Biking, ATVing, Horseback riding, White water rafting, Fishing, Scuba, Surfing, Snorkeling, hot springs, beaches, volcanoes and much more. The beaches aren't rocky, at least the ones that I've been too. I'm not a snorkeler so I don't know the best places to go for it, but I suspect that it is spectacular. Caribbean on the east side, Pacific on the west side - how could there not be spectacular snorkeling?!? A number of volcanoes - Arenol is the coolest. Good hiking in the surrounding National Park. Hot springs on the outskirts. Beautiful cone shape is ideal for photography. This can easily be turned into a great learning vacation for older teens - you got the whole unique eco-system thing going on. There are rain forests, cloudforests, volcanoes etc. You could turn it into an adventure vacation - plenty of extreme sport type things to do. Or you could have a great combination of both. Depends on where you go - but yes there are lots of monkeys. When we stayed in Manual Antonio (we were right up against the National Park) we had White Face Monkeys come right up to the hotel every morning. We could hear the Howler Monkeys through out the day (although we never actually saw the howlers). The motto of our hotel was "more monkeys than people ", lol. It was Costa Verde, I'll put the link at the bottom. National Parks are a great place too look for wildlife and monkeys.

Beaches are great! I stayed at La Carolina Lodge (great outdoors-y experience!), Pura Vida (great atmosphere, food even better), Los Lagos (right underneath beautiful Arenal Volcano), and the Black Turtle Lodge (best beaches around, but unfortunately they are putting a road through the lodge's grounds :( ). I was fifteen when I went and it was amazing! Great for older teens, great for everyone! At the Black Turtle there was lots of monkeys! Ones that wake you up at five o'clock! (howler monkeys) Some beaches were rocky I went to, but of course I didn't go to all of them. Plenty of things to do! There are a lot of monkeys and sloths and birds. You can hike around volcanoes, go zip-lining, go to hot springs, white water raft...it's amazing.

Just pack your stuff and come......you will love a vacation here....1,000 miles of beach and everything else you mentioned plus much more.....your kids will thank you..i promise.....i volunteer at "Amigos de la Aves "...google it and come see the Macaws when you come....you don't take emails?....contact me and i'll tell you everything....Steve
